| Hi! I see you've found me! I'm Christopher Hamilton (just call me Chris), the author of The Cookbook for Men Whose Wives Don't Cook. This is where you can contact me directly for any information or book orders or simply just to say "Hi!" Currently I don't have a fancy schmancy website, so until then, this will have to do. I'm putting all the information I can think of on this page, but if you have any suggestions or questions, you can contact me below. I live in Burlington, Ontario, Canada and work out of my home. The book was self-published with Booksurge Publishing in South Carolina. Originally I signed with Booksurge Canada, but the Canadian division was closed after Amazon bought Booksurge. Therefore some distribution problems exist, but, believe me, I am working very hard to figger stuff out. Apparently the border between Canada and the U.S is harder to cross than the Mexican Border. Go figger. I attended Book Expo Canada 2006 and was overwhelmed with the response to the book. I know that many customers have approached bookstores over the past few weeks to obtain a copy, and I've had many inquiries here at home. I will be contacting independent bookstores with the help of the C.B.A, and I'm knocking on doors everywhere to get distribution and publicity. The process is much slower than I ever expected and anyone in the industry will know well what kind of hoops one has to jump through. Whatever. *NEW* The book is now listed with Chapters/Indigo.ca. Only the hardcover is listed (at an expensive price), but this is due to the roundabout way the book gets to them with many added costs. I am in contact with a Canadian distributor right now which should provide better access at a more reasonable price for Canadian booksellers. I will update as we go. The book is now listed with Google Books so you can have a boo. Also in the works is Amazon.ca's Search Inside program where you can do the same thing. The book is hilarious, if I do say so myself, and I have sold books at every book signing I've attended, so I know there are those of you who want it. Please just be patient, and if you or your customers want a copy, just drop me a line and I will get you what you need. I really, really, really urge anyone outside Southern Ontario to buy the book online. You can get your copy faster from Amazon.com than I can from my publisher. To date I have appeared on Smith 'N Hayes on CHCH in Hamilton twice, and hope to return again. I cooked up some french toast for CKCO's News at Noon with Nancy Richards, and have been seen dropping food on CTV's Provincewide with Daiene Vernile. That segment was also aired Canada-wide on CTV's Good Morning Canada. For our neighbours south of the border I popped over to visit AM Buffalo (PM Buffalo too!) with Linda Pellegrino. | *NEW* Of all the comments I've had about the book, the biggest criticism has been the lack of pictures. I have mentioned before that with self-publication a full colour illustrated cookbook would cost about a gozillion dollars a copy. Until some nice publisher comes by and wants to pick this book up and republish as an illustrated cookbook, we're all out of luck. But wait!!! As the days progress, I will be adding photographs of every recipe in the book to this website so that readers can see what their dishes are supposed to look like!
